Development

Further development of the original logo. Trying out a few gradients on the patterns and type...

We decided not to use gradients as printing it would be extremely expensive especially for a small charity who is rather short on funds. So instead we tried some solid colours.

Further development. Decided to try some bright, eye catching colours to give the logo a more solid and fresh look. We tried out some new fonts because we wanted something more solid. We chose Trebuchet as it is solid but still has a few decorative elements so it is not so boring. We also played around with the shape of the letters by expanding the "L's", coloured in the "I's" and filled in the "D's". "Charitable trust" is in Futura.

We picked one of the designs from the previous developments and tried adding patterns and different colours so we did a bit of research on colours and how they make you feel.

After a meeting with Karla and Danielle we finally decided on the final logo!!! We decided to stick with the fonts that we had chosen and we also modified the "I's" in "Island Child" to look like little people. We decided on the colours blue and green as they have very relevant meanings and we added a koru pattern to inside the "D's" rather than having the big pattern down the side. For legal reasons we also had to add "New Zealand" to the logo.
So there we have it!!! The final logo!
